Gently helping people heal from their trauma
After “it” happened, have people told you that you’ve changed? Do you feel on-edge or disconnected all the time? Does it feel like you’ve tried everything?

Are you asking yourself questions like "Can anyone help me? or "Will these memories ever go away?"

You are not alone. If you have ever felt that talk therapy alone isn’t helpful, or are hesitant to take the first steps, we understand. Sometimes talk therapy can feel like it does more harm than good when you have to revisit the traumatic event(s) repeatedly. Fortunately, there is a therapeutic process that is effective without being overwhelming or re-traumatizing. You deserve to heal, even if you don’t believe that right now. EMDR is an evidenced-based practice proven to help people regain the power and safety that was lost through trauma. You can watch “What is EMDR Therapy?”, a 10 minute introductory video by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) to learn more about this unique and proven treatment..

EMDR is a gentle trauma treatment that does not involve talking about it over and over.

If you are:

  • Frustrated with your past attempts at talk therapy that didn’t help you heal past painful experiences
  • Feeling stuck in your painful memories
  • Ready to begin the healing process but don’t know where to start
  • Looking for someone who can gently support and guide you through your healing process
  • … then you’re in the right place.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy does not require talking in detail about your past traumas. Instead EMDR therapy is designed to allow our brains and bodies to recover through their natural process. When disturbing images from a traumatic event remain in our memories we can become frozen in our stress response. EMDR therapy helps the brain to work through these memories allowing it to then proceed with it’s normal healing process. The memories are not forgotten, but the stress response from the traumatic event is gone.
